At Qisma Tech, we create a fun and encouraging environment so that whatever the interests and whatever the age, kids will be well taught and challenged to think outside the box!

Our end of term and summer holiday programmes are designed for tamariki aged 8 to 12/13 (years 4 to 8).

Our tailored curriculum utilises exclusive resources, captivating games, and engaging activity books to impart knowledge in programming, electronics, 3D modelling, and science. With the guidance of our dedicated educators, children can explore these fascinating subjects at their own pace, fostering a dynamic and personalised educational experience.

What do we do in the holiday programme?

Our daily setup features four interactive tables – Electronics, Programming, 3D modelling and science – allowing tamiriki to choose their favourite activities. Our dedicated educators will guide them through dynamic learning, offering the flexibility to explore different tables throughout the day.

Electronics: Tamariki will be able to play and learn using a Makey Makey, BrainBox, Raspberry Pi’s and Arduinos making all sorts of things. These will not be taken home. We will also have our purpose built electronics activity books learning about logic gates. 🤖

Programming: Tamariki will have the opportunity to craft their own websites using HTML and CSS, dive into the world of game creation on Scratch, and explore game development with the Python programming language using our specially designed programming activity books. 👩‍💻

3D modelling: Tamariki will be learning about how 3D shapes are formed and how to interpret it on TinkerCad - a free online 3D modelling software. Tamariki will be able to use 3D pens and/or make a shape on TinkerCad which we will then print in house so that they can take their creations home. 🧊

Science: This is our most recent addition. Tamariki will learn about DNA and cells in biology, atoms and reactions in chemistry and mechanics and newtown’s laws in physics.👩‍🔬 🔬 🧬 🧪 🔭

How much is it?

The holiday programme is $90 per day, per child including GST.

What time does it start and finish?

We officially start the programme at 9 am to 3 pm (normal school hours). However, our educators will be on site from 8:30 am until 3:10 pm.

Maximum and Minimum.

We will only operate on a day that has a minimum of 5 kids. If there are not enough kids on a certain day we will contact you a week in advance to let you know of the cancellation of that day and you will receive a full refund for that day. We also have a maximum capacity of 15 kids per day.

Public Holidays

We do not operate on public holidays.

Where is the Qisma Tech holiday programme?

We are now located at VIVISTOP Wellington, Ground Floor/15 Willeston Street, Wellington Central, Wellington 6011. There will be a Qisma Tech Qrew member waiting to welcome you at the door.

Where can I park?

There is a Wilson parking building across the road from VIVISTOP and there is also on-street parking on Victoria and Willeston Street.
